Larry  was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa during the turbulence of Apartheid. He has traveled extensively in Southern Africa, Central America and time spent in Israel, Europe and the Far East. He has dealt with multiple personal threat situations in high risk destinations. Larry’s life experiences allow him to bring a real world civilian perspective to the issue of personal safety. He founded the Personal Safety Training Group in 2006. Larry’s primary focus since 2009 has been on safety programs for high risk travel and lone workers working in metropolitan and rural settings.

Previously Larry spent 10 years in health care after he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic.  He completed his undergraduate coursework at the University of Florida, Gainesville and his practice had a strong concentration in sports injuries, injury prevention, ergonomics and workplace safety. He also provided forensic evaluations (med/legal) as a consultant to workers compensation insurers and third party administrators related to up-coding, over utilization, questionable billing practices, necessity of care and material misrepresentation.
